Information for Students and Parents 2025-2026

The members of the Brooke Point Marching Band have established themselves as an important part of the spirit and pride of Brooke Point High School. The group performs regularly at all home football games and provides the excitement and pageantry that is an integral part of high school football. The band works with the cheerleaders, dance team, and football team to provide an exciting and spirited atmosphere for the entire school community. The band also competes in field show competitions and parades during the fall season representing our school across the state of Virginia.

The pageantry and excitement of the marching band is enhanced by an outstanding Color Guard. This group combines dance with visual implements to visually express the band’s music. Color Guard is open to any student at Brooke Point and auditions for this exciting group are held in April/May of each year.

Involvement in the Brooke Point Marching Band is an outstanding part of any student’s musical learning. It helps to build the life skills of teamwork, cooperation, responsibility, and leadership. Additionally, active participation in marching band contributes to a student’s overall positive self-image which will, in turn, help them toward higher self-esteem. Most importantly, participation in the Brooke Point Marching Band will generate exciting times, friendships and memories that will last a lifetime. For students new to BPHS, band camp provides an opportunity to begin the school year with a supportive and positive group of new friends.

Membership in the Marching Band is open to any student enrolled in a band class at BPHS. We encourage you to get involved and we look forward to welcoming you as a member of our band family at Brooke Point High School.

Parent Involvement & Volunteer Opportunities

The Brooke Point Band Boosters Association provides outstanding support for the band program and all of the students involved in band at BPHS. During Marching Band season, the band parents are an integral part of the spirit and excitement of our group. From fitting uniforms to working in the concession stand, chaperones to “pit crew” and more, the band parents provide the help that is needed for our students to have a great performing experience with the Brooke Point Marching Band.

We encourage all band parents to join in the fun and friendship of being an active member in the Brooke Point Band Boosters Association. Join us!!

Pre-Season Training aka “Band Camp”

STUDENTS MUST ATTEND ALL BAND CAMP REHEARSALS TO PARTICIPATE IN MARCHING BAND. Contact the band director with any questions.
